The Diary of Anne Frankenstein. Ilya Sapiroe is a writer, performer, producer, and theatre critic. Born in Azerbaijan and raised in Brooklyn, he has since called New Orleans, Berlin and Florence his home before settling back in NYC for the fourth time in 2006. This is his first play to be produced in New York. He is Jewish. As a director/writer/performer, Elizabeth Elkins' work has been seen across the US and abroad in venues as diverse as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, PS1, the Aerial Angels Circus, Art Against Fear, and the International Toy Theatre Festival. She holds a Masters degree in Performance Studies from NYU Tisch and has been awarded the Von Rosenstiel Grant for Creative Research as a Director. A native of South Jersey, Kevin Cummines serves Saint Peter’s College, The Jesuit College of N.J., as Performing Arts Coordinator, Artistic Director of The Roy Irving Theatre, Director of the McMullen Chorale, and Adjunct Lecturer for Fine Arts. Awards include the ASCAP Max Dreyfus Award for Young Composers, and “Thesis with Distinction” from Rutgers for his research on sexual self-destruction among young gay men. He is a working musical theatre writer and performer, and a composer in many conflicting genres. Recent premiers and credits: Stage-Struck Yankee: No Song, No Supper (America-in-Play, TPAC); Weather Man Rainsong (GMTWP); Weather Man/Rain Rainsong Demo; Symphony No. 1: The Peacock (Hudson Symphony Orchestra, Roy Irving Theatre); Stealing Glances (America-in-Play, TPAC). Chesley Allen has lived and worked internationally, including Japan, Korea, France, Italy, and Poland. From 1999 until Hurricane Katrina he lived in New Orleans, working as a costume and mask maker. While in New Orleans he also co-founded/owned the Z'otz cafes, and was a founding member of the Dada/Surrealist Spectacles. He currently resides in Austin, Texas and is an organizer and DJ for the Gadjo Disko parties. When not working on three dimensional projects his primary focus is oil painting and writing. Mel Kier is an artist of the multitask. She is recognised as an art director, photographer, costume designer, fashion designer and performer. She works in London, New York and Sydney. Her alter ego Jemma Jube has become a cult label and is sold internationally - www.jemmajube.com.Nicholas' career in theatre spans from the third snow man on the right in his elementary school Christmas show to Technical Director for various national theatre companies. Currently he is the Associate Stage Hand at NYU Skirball Center for Performing Arts. He is Co-production Manager for Theatre Breaking Through Barriers and is an active member with Emerging Artists Theatre. While he can be found easily with a drill gun in his hand, you might also find him with a script in hand as well.Amy Lee Reynolds, a recent graduate of Texas' Tarleton State University, has even more recently taken up residence in NYC. She just served as Stage Manager and Costume Coordinator of the Duct Tape and a Dream festival for the Roots and Wings Production Company, where she also served as assistant director for the original work Perspective. An experienced costumer, Amy worked as an assistant to the Costume Designer on the Utah Festival Opera's production of Aida. She also served as costume designer in undergrad production of Godspell, as well as Wig and Makeup Designer on The Misanthrope, Aladdin, Blithe Spirit, and Brighton Beach Memoirs.Eben Lillie was born and raised in New York's East Village. He is a composer, sound designer and performer. He holds a Masters Degree in Performance and Interactive Media Arts from Brooklyn College, and is the founder of free music ensemble, a non-profit music organization committed to providing access to musical instruments and musical instruction to students in NYC public schools. Jackie, a native of New Jersey, has spent the better part of her life between NYC and the magical Garden State. She transplanted herself to the Midwest in 2004 and is currently based out of St. Louis. She holds a BA in Interactive Digital Media and Photography from Webster University. She now works mainly as an Interactive Developer and specializes in web and software development, animation, and video and photography projects. She has completed work for the Evironmental Protection Agency, Washington University, Grambling State University, and has worked on numerous web and software projects. She is currently doing freelance work and is the Lead Web Developer for musformation.com, a blog focused on technical information, tips, and news for musicians. (www.jackiebrennan.com).
The Diary of Anne Frankenstein. Mimi Imfurst is one of New York's most outrageous and celebrated drag performers. She is a 3 time Glammy Award HX Drag Queen of the Year Award and GaySocialites Award Nominee. She has appeared in regional and New York productions of Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Hedwig), The Rocky Horror Show (Frank N Furter), and The Facts of Life: The Lost Episode (Natalie). Her TV/Film credits include: MTV's Jackass, The Howard Stern Show, The Real World, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, and Entertainment Tonight. She has even appeared in the National Enquirer. She has hosted numerous high profile events including: The Broadway MissCast Pageant, Bingo for Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS, The Live finale for Rupaul's Drag Race and the live tapings for LOGO'S Big Gay Sketch Show. She currently hosts weekly shows at Barracuda, Therapy, DTox, Lavish Lounge and Evolve Bar. Her acclaimed holiday show about the Virgin Mary is now in its 4th year. In previous years - her shows: Mary, Like a Virgin, A Very Mary Christmas and Holy Shit: Its Christmas! have awarded her both praise and controversy. Lavinia Co-op aka Vincent Meehan was Martha Graham and Ballet trained at L.S.C.D. in the U.K. He has performed in New York since the 1980's as a founding member of the legendary Bloolips, an all male, gay, English music hall drag theatre troupe. Bloolips shows include Lust in Space, Sticky Buns, Living Leg-ends and later Bland Motel, Get Hur and Island of Lost Shoes. Joseph is coming off the heels, so to speak, of playing Frank Furter in Rocky Horror Show at Cultural Arts Playhouse. Regional credits include Hedwig in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Lumiere in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and Sir Walter Raleigh in The Lost Colony. Directing credits: Prayer (2008 FringeNYC), Loot, Corpus Christi, BENT, and wouldn't you know it, The Diary of Anne Frank. This is Jessica Caplan's New York stage debut, having recently made the leap to New York after a six-year stint in Hong Kong. She started performing in her native Montreal at the age of five. More recently, in Hong Kong, she co-founded theater company bigbox theatre, co-creating and performing in their original productions, including a poetry-based show that toured local and international schools. Hong Kong theater credits include Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire, Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls, Janet in Rocky Horror Show, Josie in Godspell, The Queen in The King of Time, Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof and Laura in The Glass Menagerie. She also played the Fairy Queen and Mrs. Darling in ABA's Pan-Asian tour of its original musical Peter Pan. In Hong Kong, Jessica was the voice of cartoons originating from Hong Kong, China, Japan and France. Jessica is a graduate of McGill University's Drama and Theatre Program, holds a degree in law from the University of Toronto and is a yoga teacher. She's thrilled to be part of this exciting new production. Geoffrey Borman is a recent graduate of the Boston University School of Theatre. He also received training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Geoffrey has appeared in such shows as, Romeo and Juliet, The Country Wife, The Weavers, Playing for Time, Tartuffe, and A Series of Small Doors. He is excited to be a part of such a kooky project as The Diary of Anne Frankenstein. Eric Jaeger is a recent transplant to NYC from Akron, OH via Pittsburgh. Favorite credits include Contact, Romeo y Julieta, Michael Rupert's Streets of America and the film In Northwood. Most recently, Eric was seen in Dixon Place/The Living Theater's Salome! A Veiled Threat, puppeteering the infamous Muffy the Talking Vagina. Ryan Feyk studied acting at Florida State University before moving to New York in 2005. Since then, he has performed with sketch comedy groups like Murderfist and Totally Awesome Victory, as well as a number of improv groups like Knifestorm and Naked Boys Improvising. He is a voice-over artist whenever possible, and writes for the comedy blog www.topicalfunny.com. His most recent theatrical roles have been as Oliver in As You Like It with the Bushwick Shakespeare Repertory, and as Archer in The Beaux Stratagem at Theatre Jacksonville. He lives in Astoria, Queens.
